DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?

Travel Insurance is highly recommended for both We strongly urge you to obtain a comprehensive travel protection plan, which should include coverage for trip cancellation and interruption, baggage delay, baggage coverage, travel delay, emergency medical and dental, emergency, medical transport and evacuation, and travel accident insurance, offered through an insurance carrier of your choice to protect you and your investment. We recommend you call your existing insurance agents and/or carriers as well as your credit card companies to inquire further. IMMIGRATION FORM When you are in the Republic of the Marshall Islands you will be issued an immigration form that you must keep until your departure. When you leave they will ask to see it to determine how long you were in the Marshall Islands. Please take care of that form once they give it to you.

 

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE IN MAJURO?

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE ON THE OUTER ISLAND?

The small plane will disembark and our staff will greet you and get your bags. Our boat will be waiting and we will get you onboard. There will be a quick boat ride over to Beran Island, and you will be surfing by the afternoon if all goes as planned!

 

AIR MARSHALL ISLANDS

We will arrange your domestic bookings on Air Marshall Islands. Fare from Majuro to Outer Islands is US$320 round trip, which will be included on your booking invoice. We will work with your group on a case by case basis to ensure all your equipment arrive on time and all travel details within the Marshall Islands are taken care of. Our local office in Majuro is setup to coordinate with Air Marshall Islands much more efficiently that contacting them directly. If you have questions regarding Air Marshall Islands, Please Contact Us. Air Marshall Islands flies two small aircraft, a Dornier-223 and a Dash-8 under FAA Regulation. Air Marshall is run by government and government employees, therefore can be relatively slow. Aircraft are relatively small and is not always possible to get all your surf / SUPs on board. The larger aircraft can do this. Board Bags are now $100 USD each way for board bags up to 50lbs. This is payable in cash at the airport in Majuro.

 

WHAT IF I HAVE AN OVERNIGHT IN MAJURO

Indies Trader has partnered with Hotel Robert Reimers in downtown Majuro. We can coordinate your stay as well as transport to and from the Majuro Airport to the hotel. The hotel and restaurant at the Hotel are the best in Majuro and they are in constant contact with Indies Trader to help coordinate passenger details. There is a shuttle fee of $10 each way to the Hotel in downtown Majuro. We can coordinate with Hotel Robert Reimers, please let them know you are staying on Beran so they can coordinate details with us for your layover.
