Indies Trader II
"The Indies Trader II is a really good choice, not as fancy as the other boats in the fleet, but probably the best overall value for the hardcore surfer. We've got plenty of beer, the most comfortable cabins out there, and she's fast and reliable." Martin Daly
This Indies Trader II offers the best value in its price range - bar none. Captain Albert is one of the most experienced captains in Sumatra and the level of service we deliver, and our ability to explore the path less traveled is not only envied by our competition but more importantly is unparelleled in the surf charter market.
Don't trust your vacation with a new, unproven boat, inexperienced captain, safety concerns, and sub-standard service when a trip on the Indies Trader II is a safe, surfing adventure and the best choice and overall value possible.
Standard Trip: The standard trip duration is 12 days / 13 nights, two days longer than most of our competitors. We stay out for these two extra days to ensure that our guests have the opportunity to surf at least one solid swell during their stay, but in all likelihood we usually encounter two, sometimes three significant swell events during our scheduled charter dates. If you're going to travel halfway across the world those two extra days are worth their weight in gold.
9 guests maximum.

April 2 - 15, 2006
Avg. wave heights: Head High
Largest waves: Overhead to nearly double overhead
Wave rating (1-10): 6/10 and "consistently fun"
Weather/Winds: We had some epic conditions with sunny skies most of the trip and smooth cruising between breaks. April is nearly always hot with variable winds, but that also means offshore breezes at a variety of spots and clean, glassy waves.
Indies Trader II
April 2 - 15, 2006
Avg. wave heights: Head high
Largest waves: Overhead
Wave rating (1-10): 5/10
Weather/Winds: Although the south winds continued to blow out many spots in the islands (especially the righthanders), We had some decent swell and found some good waves (mostly lefts). Fun trip overall and the captain and crew rule!

All of our Captains know where to go to escape the crowds and find the best waves possible. Martin is in constant contact with all the boats with updated weather & surf forecasting modules and needless to say the Indies Trader boats score empty perfection more often than anyone because they actively seek out the best wave/wind conditions day in and day out.
The Indies Trader series can also boast the best and longest track record of uninterrupted scheduled charters in the industry.
